| Basic components of the program include: - Self-esteem and positive encouragement to succeed. - Goal planning sessions that determine individual strengths and ambitions. - Sessions on identifying key relationships and maintaining those relationships. - Sessions on career networking and establishing new relationships. - Mentoring and networking sessions. - Financial management and investment planning sessions. - Lifestyle management sessions. - Increased community and church involvement. - Skills and interest assessment focusing on educational requirements. - Other components include sessions for job training, and career development. Participating in Family Life Ministry for TEENS is optional. If a TEEN decides to participate they are asked to sign a statement of commitment. This statement simply asks and encourages the TEEN to support and participate in the activities of the church and Family Life Learning Center programs. Each TEEN will be expected to learn, know and understand the basic foundational principles that support the projects and its components. Family Life Learning Centers present programs in which business owners, residents, faith based and community partners can work together to prepare, manage, and provide options for TEENS to achieve economic self-reliance. Family Life Learning Centers focuses on results and resources rather than quick fixes or out-dated processes.
